Week 14 Review

Image
Blogspot      I chose this graphic as my favorite for this week because of how there are multiple meanings to it. The cup could be in reference to people in life, or assignments due, or projects taken on. No one wants to be empty, but having the cup completely full can lead to friends not being contacted or assignments not being done or projects that get left behind. It's important to have the cup a little empty. For my video I chose  The Biology of Positivity . I chose this because I sometimes stop learning new things or get stuck in the same rut. Learning new things and having new experiences brings the brain a lot of joy and can lead to a lot more happiness.

Famous Last Words: Finishing up my Last couple of Weeks

Image
Ski Slope Difficulty:  Wikimedia Commons      This past week for classes has been particularly easy. All of my teachers have been getting their final homework's assigned and all of my projects for the upcoming week are now assigned as well. However, this next week will be particularly difficult. My professors don't particularly understand the idea of "dead week" and I will be working on a lot more than just studying for finals this dead week. Classes this semester have been very difficult and that's why I have really enjoyed Indian Epics. It has been a break from all of the math and science this semester.      I think the lack of connection to other classes is what makes me enjoy Indian Epics so much. I don't have to write any papers in any of my other classes, and in fact, I don't have much writing at all. This makes Indian Epics a lot better because it's a break from other homework assignments. If I am stuck on some equation I don't

Wikipedia Trail: From Pralaya to The Great Depression

Image
The Great Depression Wikipedia      Pralaya: Pralaya is the dissolution of Earth to start a new cycle of life on Earth. It is the beginning of another cycle of life on Earth as well. I wrote about Pralaya for my Storybook and it is interesting to me. I really like how cyclic everything is in Hinduism, and so I figured this would be a good way to start. Pralaya also shows up in pop culture. For the next tab I chose the book Ulysses.      Ulysses: Ulysses is a book published in the 1920's in Paris France. It is one of the most contraversial books of it's time because of how complicated it is. There are 18 sections of the books with numerous characters introduced and puzzles to solve. It is also known as one of the best books ever written. It's extremely well made. The publisher is Sylvia Beach which is my next tab.       Sylvia Beach: Sylvia Beach is a publisher born in 1887 and she is best known for publishing Ulysses. She published Ulysses through her bookstore Sh

Learning Challenge: The Importance of sleep

Image
From the Article      The past two semester have taught me to not skip on sleep before a test, and I know why now. I could never perform well after staying up almost all night. Whether it was miscalculating something or forgetting basic information, I would also perform far worse compared to if I got a goods nights rest. For the future. I will focus more on getting the best night's sleep that I can get.

Growth Mindset: Becoming a Naturalist

Image
Growth Mindset Meme This growth mindset blog is about growing intelligence. My focus for intelligence is naturalist. I am stuck studying science most of the time, so I would like to become better with experiencing things other than that. I think that creating hobbies now is really important for the future, and will help me a lot with finding friends post graduation and throughout life.

Tech Tip: Canvas Dashboard

I really like the canvas dashboard however it was difficult to get used to before. Just having the class numbers in the course was really confusing at first, but learning how to operate canvas as time went on has been very helpful. I cannot think of anything I would like to add either. One of my favorite parts is the lack of stuff in the Dashboard to reduce clutter.

Week 14 Story: A Soft Rumble

Image
The crane and the crab:  Wikimedia commons       It started softly as a silent rumble that shook the earth. The rumble slowly grew louder and off in the distance a large mass of animals was moving through fields of grass and grain and wheat. As the rumbling grew louder, the animals could be made out. They were deer that were running from a chariot controlled by a King. The King shouted and threw spears as the deer ran. The deer trampled anything in their path. As the deer came and went, one of the villagers watching spoke and said, "We must do something about this." Other villagers nodded in agreement because it was their land the deer were trampling over. "We cannot do anything about the King," another villager chimed in. It was sad; The villagers had a good relationship with the deer until the King started hunting them. However, it was their lively hood at stake and they could not risk their lively hood for an animal.       When this first started happe
