Learning Challenge: Anonymous Empathy

Image
Wikimedia Commons Empathy is one of the most important human skills that builds important relationships. I read the I wish my teacher knew blog and it is very powerful. Even children have different things going on in their lives, and if they knew that people could help them, maybe they could reach out more. Anonymous empathy is very important and allows people to understand the struggles that other people are going through.

Growth Mindset: Cat memes

Cheezburger Growth Mindset Memes      I chose the first cheezburger meme because it is a funny picture, but still has some meaning behind it. I think that curiosity is what drives a lot of innovators and I think more curiosity is not a bad thing. I chose the second meme because it is definitely the case in some of my classes. I think that having friends to help you through difficult classes is important.

Tech Tip: Canvas Calendar

This tech tip is regarding the canvas calendar. This is one of the most helpful parts of canvas and has allowed me to stay on top of my school work even when I sometimes forget about putting assignments in my planner. Checking the canvas calendar daily has made me forget a lot less assignments and not stress as much as before. Although the canvas calendar is important and helpful, I still separate my canvas calendar from my outlook calendar. I use my outlook calendar for things like class times and meetings and my canvas calendar for my school work. It keeps them separate and I make sure that I do not just gloss over the canvas calendar. I would highly recommend using the canvas calendar for anyone who has not yet.
